Chinese Herbal Medicine

All natural healing

Chinese herbal medicine has been continually practiced for over 3000 years and is based upon a tradition of clinical empirical evidence. When prescribing your herbal formula your practitioner precisely balances each individual herb’s therapeutic action to improve efficacy and reduce any adverse side effects.

Ravae Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine has a dispensary stocked with over 200 granulated Taiwanese herbs, allowing your practitioner to individually tailor your herbal formula to directly suit your treatment needs. You are probably already familiar with some of the Chinese medicinal herbs such as sheng jiang (fresh ginger), gou qi zi (goji berries), gui zhi (cinnamon twig), gan cao (licorice root), ren shen (ginseng) and jiang huang (turmeric). The majority of the Chinese medicinal herbs are plant derived with a minority derived from non-endangered animal products such as buffalo horn.
